About Us

What are we about?

The Group was set up in 2007 with just 3 Members and now over 10 years later we have over 30 active members.

The Group is run by our visually impaired members and their Carers to insure we get the services and information that our Group needs.

Our area of membership covers the Telford Area, with ages from mid 30's & over are welcome. Our current membership range in age from mid 40’s to young at heart 80’s, with the majority under 65. Membership has an annual fee of £20.

So if you are a VIP - a Visually Impaired Person - we would love to hear from you!
By joining the group you will meet people with similar challenges, from who you can learn where to go to get the help or advice you may be looking for, along with the opportunity to make new friends.

The place to be!

As a Group we try to get speakers on a variety of subjects as wide ranging as possible, as well as getting out & about as much as we can.

The group meets on the first Thursday in the month, 1:30 pm at Meeting Point House, Telford Town Centre. We are closed in the month of February.
